Originally introduced in the late 1970’s, the 1300 was originally marketed as a “distortion” type of wind, with a double thick Ceramic magnet for aggressive heat. Over the years, legend has it, the 1300 had made its way onto some guitars of some significant players.
This model 1300 is made in the USA. It’s a high output bridge pickup with screaming leads, bright jumpy harmonics, and plenty of power to push an amp into saturation. Clean tones are thick and round but with the razor-sharp pick attack from the Ceramic magnet.
Like all Mighty Mite® humbuckers, the 1300 comes equipped with 4-conductor wiring for coil splitting and parallel options.
