The Pearly Gates was originally designed for ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons to reproduce the sound of his original 1959 Les Paul. A P.A.F. designed with a more pronounced midrange compared to period-relevant competitors. The Alnico 2 bar magnet leaves the pickup retaining an open and balanced attack while having a little push from its wind offering a rich creamy growl to overdriven applications that give your tone a classic Texas sizzle.
