The Zephyr pickups are the result of Seymour Duncan's quest to pursue audio quality with cost as no factor to the construction of such a humbucker. Using Silver wire, these pickups are wound with a lower resistance per unit length than copper, but from the material used this results in a more dynamic range and richer harmonics. Seymour Duncan also goes above and beyond by using Stainless Steel Bi-Metallic Pole Pieces, Glass Fiberfill Nylon bobbins, and Cryogenic Treatment during the construction of these illustrious pickups. This results in brilliant clarity with respect to the upper mid and treble frequencies.
