Looking to restore or build your own Jazzmaster? Got a set of Jazzmaster pickups you really love, but no guard/guitar to put them in? Well this genuine Fender '65 Jazzmaster Pickguard assembly is the solution! This assembly is true to vintage specs just like when the Jazzmaster was released to the world in 1958. We have beautiful 4 ply brown tortoise shell guard with a truss rod access route in the neck pocket route for easy access to vintage heel adjusting necks. We have your traditonal Jazzmaster wiring under the hood, with both lead and rhythm circuits, and aluminum shielding plate to help shield your pickups from unwanted hum. Jazzmaster wiring can be a little tricky, so here's a simplified break down: On the lower bout of the pickguard, we have the lead circuit - we have a master volume & tone combined with a 3 way toggle pickup selector. On the upper bout of the guard, we have the rhythm circuit. When engaging the rhythm circuit (pushing the switch up, away from the neck), it engages the neck pickup only and we have roller volume & tone controls. The rhythm circuit provides a much warmer, dare we say, "Jazzier" tone in reference to its own namesake. So if you got a set of jazzmaster pickups you really love, or an old Jazzmaster that needs some "tlc", grab this '65 Jazzmaster pickguard assembly today and take the headache out of wiring one yourself!
