Product Description:
Vintage elegance on top, a whole other Strat hiding underneath.
This Reclaimed Fender Road Worn Strat Body has been given a new lease on life with a custom Burgundy Mist over 3-Tone Sunburst Finish-Over-Finish (FOF) treatment in aged Nitro Lacquer. Carefully distressed areas of the Burgundy Mist topcoat reveal the black, red, amber, and natural tones of the 3-Tone Sunburst underneath, recreating the layered appearance of a vintage Strat that was refinished years ago and then played extensively ever since.
The metallic Burgundy Mist provides a beautifully understated backdrop for the dramatic areas of simulated wear. Broad sections of exposed Sunburst along the forearm contour and edges are joined by lacquer checking, chips, scuffs, worn-through spots, and additional aging across the front and back. The result is a finish with tremendous visual depth—the more you look at it, the more of its previous life begins to show through.
Underneath the aging is a traditional solid Alder Strat body featuring classic forearm and belly contours, three single-coil pickup routes, standard top-routed controls, and routing for a six-screw vintage-style tremolo.
At just 3.7 lbs., this body also provides an excellent foundation for builders looking to keep the overall weight of their finished instrument down.
Each Mighty Mite Reclaimed body is individually finished and distressed, making the wear pattern of every piece unique. What you see is what you get.
